Children from Years 1 and 5/6 followed up a visit to Huddersfield Art Gallery by working on the themes of Nature and Portraits with Balbir Singh and John Ball. The children created a dance performance that explored movements of animals, the weather and Indian Gods. - Crossing

Our involvement with the project began with a trip to Huddersfield Art Gallery on Tuesday 25 th September. Class 4 met Hugh Nankivell at the Gallery and spent the day looking at the paintings, drawing, writing words and poems connected with the pictures, learning some musical games and warm ups (songs from around the world). We also began a vocal composition based on an abstract picture called Day Painting. Hugh then came to work with our class every week. - Rap
