Who are the authors of the resources you produce and what experience of education do they have?
Answer
All of the authors are inspectors, consultants, advisors, teachers and other educational officers extensively experienced in their subject specialism who understand from a practical view the challenges facing teaching professionals delivering today's curriculum. All the resources are in line with the 5 outcomes of the Every Child Matters agenda.

Answer
All resources are trialled in schools and, if required, amended appropriately before they are sold.

Does the Learning Service receive any profit from the sale of resources?
Answer
The Service is part of local government and so is non profit making. It's aim is to raise the standard of education in schools in line with the Every Child Matters agenda. Therefore all monies received from sales are used to finance the cost of resource production. Postage and packaging are charged at cost.

Can resources be viewed before they are ordered?

Samples of some resources can be downloaded from the online catalogue, sample pages can also be requested, please contact us for more detail.

Are there any discounts available?
Answer
Yes, these are as follows:
10 - 50 copies :10%.
51 - 100 copies: 15%.
101 - 200 copies: 20%.
201 - 300 copies: 25%.
Over 300 copies: 30%.

How long does it take to receive an order?

Customers should receive their order within 21 working days.

If an order is made online, will the customer be contacted to acknowledge its receipt?
Answer
No order confirmations are issued, however your order is processed immediately and delivered to you usually within 21 working days.

Do you have a returns policy?
Answer
If you are not fully satisfied with your resource, a refund/credit note will be raised provided the goods are returned in their original condition within 21 days.

Why do you charge VAT on some goods and not on others?
Answer
Due to legislation, certain items such as DVDs and videos are subjected to VAT, if you are a school, you are able to claim this back. Certain organisations may also claim back the VAT.
