Kirklees Star Awards

The Kirklees Star Awards, a digital video and animation competition for Kirklees primary schools, ran from November 2007 until June 2008. A sparkling Oscars style awards evening was held on 8th July 2008 at the Castle Hill Suite, University of Huddersfield. The awards were attended by 120 people including the winning children, their teachers, parents, event sponsors, the Itcas team, Caroline Gruen, Head of Learning and Jim Dodds, Councillor for Learning. You can watch the winning and runner up videos, including a video of the awards evening online.

Our LearningGrids website has been redesigned to make it even easier for you to find the resources that you want. Visit www.LearningGrids.com and take a look at how easy it is to search for and find resources for any curriculum area. We have added over 100 new Clicker 5 resources on the site over the summer, so there are lots of new and topical resources for you to use in the classroom. Also on the new site, we have also provided you with your own private online folders so that you can upload your own resources and organise existing resources from the site! Don't forget that you can visit LearningGrids Direct within Clicker 5 - you don't even have to open your web browser!

Learning and Teaching with ICT

Example Materials for Foundation Stage to year 6. Over 180 video clips with lesson outlines, resource lists and more, showing ICT in use across nine subjects for all primary years and the six areas of learning for Foundation Stage. The materials offer teachers and early years providers ideas for the use of ICT across the curriculum. The materials may be used for planning and for professional development.
