Key Stage 4 Learning Challenge
This is designed to help students who may be disorganised in planning and using their time, have poor revision skills, or who do not perform well in tests and examinations even though they have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the subject. It provides an ideal support programme for students during what is traditionally known as 'study leave' Support files from subject network meetings
The following are links to the materials used in the termly subject leader development networks. They are the same materials found on the CDs provided through the secondary strategy.
Where we have used additional or modified materials you will find an additional folder containing those materials.

This is a set of booklets intended to introduce pupils to the expectations of Key Stage 4 courses and enhance their skills as independent learners. A set of bridging plans for ICT, MFL and D&T should be available later this year. This set follows an initial set for the core subjects of English, mathematics and science, published in 2004.
Up to speed with GCSE
These training materials are to help overseas trained teachers, returners and supply teachers understand the nature and demands of the GCSE examination system and to help them be effective in teaching GCSE students. Pre-course reading provides a helpful summary of the key facts about GCSE and the National Qualifications Framework.
